Acupuncture has been a gift for many, and I hope it will be one for you too.
Hi, I am Simon and I am a licensed Acupuncturist. I have been lucky to come across acupuncture and would love to share its healing power with you. You haven’t experienced the benefit of acupuncture yet? Don’t wait, give it a try.
Acupuncture is part of Chinese Medicine. It is applied with fine needles which activate “acupoints”. Acupoints are believed to help balance the body, and in Chinese Medicine we believe that balance will lead to good health.
Effective in many health situations
Acupuncture has shown to be effective with many ailment and health challenges. People are treated for
chronic and acute pain, for headaches and migraines, digestive disorders, muscle pain and sports injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, side effects of chemo therapy and radiation treatments, anxiety or panic attacks and much more.
When you get an acupuncture treatment, the practitioner will – based on an assessment – insert one or several needles into specific areas of the body. The needles stay inserted for 30-45min while the patient is resting.
My approach to Chinese Medicine is guided by what we call neoclassical acupuncture (NCA). It includes touch as an assessment to find the right point in time to create balance. Often, change can be experienced immediately and for example pain reduction is created in a very short amount of time.
It is fair to say, that most likely several treatments are needed to restore balance. However, 4-6 treatments should show significant improvement in your health, depending on your lifestyle and your habits.
